On our weekend trip to Andorra we decided to buy a HD video camera, as the prices in Andorra are tax free and thus cheaper than both Spain and Norway. The camera is a Sony HDR-XR500 VE with 120GB harddisk and GPS tagging, so that when you shoot video you can also tag the location you are shooting the video in. The camera features are:

• New CMOS sensor from Sony
• 12.1 MP camera
• Face detection
• Optical SteadyShot image stabilizer

Wewent to Andorra this weekend to do some shopping for electronics, clothes and motorcycle gear, and I ended up buying a new back protector from Dainese and new Alpinestars boots. The Dainese back protector is actually a bit more than a back protector, since it also has chest and neck protection. The model name is Gilet Wave 2 Neck, and the Dainese product page can be found here.

I also needed to get some new boots, and after looking around in the many shops in Sta Coloma in Andorra I settled on the Alpinestars Supertech R boots, manufacturer information can be found here, and a review of the boots can be found here. The boots are built up of two components, the outer boot itself and an inner boot with integrated ancle protection. Since I bought them today I haven't done much walking in them yet, but they were very comfortable when I tried them on in the store.

 

 

 

 

 

Now that I have finally paid off the mortgage on my 2005 KTM 950 Adventure I stumble across this thread in the Orange Crush forum on www.advrider.com giving details and pictures of the new 2009 lineup of KTM 990 Adventures, with some good paint jobs, an upgraded cockpit and even more horsepowers. Off to the bank again?
